C. O. Moed
C.O. Moed grew up on New York’s Lower East Side when it was still a tough neighborhood. An alum from the groundbreaking WOW Café in the East Village and a former musician (classical and jazz violin), she received her BFA in acting from City College, New York and an MFA in Dramatic Writing from New York University, which she attended on full scholarship and was awarded the Graduate Achievement Award, before returning to City College for her MFA in Media Studies-Film.

Along with being selected for the Berlin Talent Campus Script Clinic and the Berlin Talent Summer Camp, she was a grantee of the Elizabeth George Grant for fiction and was nominated for a Rockefeller Media Arts. Her short form work has appeared in many publications, including Sensitive Skin; Lilith Magazine; Art Inspiration Magazine; Thorn Literary Magazine; Shades of Blue (Seal Press); AWAKE!: Reader for the Sleepless (Soft Skull); and Silver Tongue Devils (Pink Trees Press).

Her award-winning debut memoir, It Was Her New York: True Stories and Snapshots was a BookLife Editor's Pick, and quarterfinalist in the BookLife Prize in Memoir, as well as Firebird Book Competition’s Judge’s Pick, among others. Learn more at COMOED.NET
